Nowadays we hear about Karma everywhere. Most of the time in a negative way which I do not understand; Karma is a spiritual law. It is a law that causes all important aspects of our life. It is not much different from the law of gravity. We do not say anything bad about the law of gravity if we miss a step and fall down the staircase. We know it was our mistake as we were not careful on the steps. Then why we blame Karma, when we face bad consequences for a bad deed or word or even a thought.
Yes that is how Law of Karma works if we send out bad energy through thoughts, words or deeds it comes back to us in some or the other form. This is also known as cause and effect. Law of Karma is also mentioned with the phrase “as you sow so shall you reap.” or it can be explained in a scientific way by Newton’s 3rd Law; “To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction: or the forces of two bodies on each other are always equal and are directed in opposite directions.”
Have you ever met someone for the first time and instantly felt a strong negative or positive emotion for that person. You felt; “I don’t know something about her makes me feel I cannot trust her.” Or “I think we can be great friends. Though I don’t know much about him, I think I will like him.”
You feel this strongly and soon get confirming proof about your feeling. How can you explain this? The answer is hidden in the Law of Karma. If you study the karmic account you will understand why you feel various emotions for different people.
A Karmic account is an account between two souls. This account keeps a record of the positive and negative exchange of energy between these two souls. Till this account is settled these souls will interact with each other even when they take birth in a new form and a new life.
Deepak Chopra has explained Karma beautifully in The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life
“Situations seem to happen to people, but in reality, they unfold from deeper karmic causes. The universe unfolds to itself, bringing to bear any cause that needs to be included. Don’t take this process personally. The working out of cause and effect is eternal. You are part of this rising and falling that never ends, and only by riding the wave can you ensure that the waves don’t drown you. The ego takes everything personally, leaving no room for higher guidance or purpose. If you can, realize that a cosmic plan is unfolding and appreciate the incredibly woven tapestry for what it is, a design of unparalleled marvel.”

Yamini my question is who is keeping the karma account and who will disperse parabda karma?
Dear Yamini: Very well said. I wish you could provide us more of your thoughts/notes/articles on this subject, which would really be very valuable and an eye opener for the present day generation..
Many thanks! Arun
I entirely agree with you, Yamini.
I understand what you are saying MySay the vib or vibration or energy we send to people matter more than the words we speak as it reaches first. Even if we are using the sweetest words but thinking bad about the person he/she will sense the negative energy and the words will not matter. Yes I do believe this works on things too. After all everything in the universe is made from the same energy.
Completely agree with your point Vijay. You are talking about a soul that has settled all the accounts. The point I highlighted in this post is that Karma is a law which always works and whether we are aware of it or not does not matter.
Actually the concept is much much deeper. We humans have barely touched the outer rim of the Karmic knowledge. A true karmi is the one who neither has good or bad Karma. A selfless soul
would love to know more about Karmic Accounts dear Yamini .. Off late I have started believing the law exists no matter how much we close our eyes !
One things is true that the kind of vibe we send for a thing or people it effects us in a way or the other ..
Thank You 🙂
As you sow so shall you reap, And yes i belive in Karma and i have seen many people suffering in this life only for their Deeds, or many enjoying their life cause of Good Karma.
Thank you Ida for your comment, I am glad you liked the post. I agree with you it is a hard concept to grasp especially when there are so many wrong interpretations spread around and people have a very negative attitude towards Karma. I believe a bit of awareness will make a lot of change in the positive attitude of people. Yes we cannot control this law but surely we can watch our own thoughts, words and actions.
I think people use it in a negative way, to try and cover up their negative thoughts and attachments – it’s the “I know karma will get him I just wish I was there to see it” attitude – they haven’t let their personal attachment go at all. It’s a hard concept to understand for an instant gratification society. The beauty of karma for me is the surrender aspect, just like surrendering to gravity I guess – it’s not something you can control – but you can watch your step 🙂 Thanks Yamini – Great post
Thank you Jen 🙂
